The National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation (NABEF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the public interest in supporting and advocating: education and training programs, strategies to increase diversity, initiatives stressing the importance of the First Amendment, community service, philanthropy, and timely broadcasting issues.

NABEF awards ten scholarships to enable outstanding college communications students from diverse backgrounds to complete their undergraduate degree and begin careers in broadcasting. NABEF selects ten communications schools based on the quality of their communications program and on regional distribution. Each school selects a student who is a woman or person of color to receive the scholarship beginning in their junior year and continuing through their senior year.
